The Butters

Hi, I’m Jerome aka Mr. Butters at The Butters Hygienics Co. and today I want to show you something really cool

Pause your stuff. I’m shooting a video. Oh god. We don't do that at work. Wave hi to the camera.

Are those weighed properly. Yeah. Our brand-new oil cleanser.

It's made with five simple clean ingredients: grapeseed oil hemp seed oil vitamin e rosemary essential oil and isopropyl myristate. I’ll get into the why of all those later, but you should know it comes in two sizes 1.7 ounce and 5 oz both are premium airless pumps.

You can use our oil cleanser to take your makeup off or you know just the grime and pollution of daily life. I actually love it because my face never actually feels dry when I use it. When I use soap it almost always does.  As a person with ADHD, I need products that make hygiene quick and fun. This oil cleanser allows me to clean and protect my skin in one step it also feels really nice on my beard and mustache and all that other furry stuff. You know I’m a big old guy. But I mean of course it does though it's, it's number one ingredient is grapeseed oil.

Grapeseed oil is packed with polyphenols vitamin e flavonoids linolenic acid which is an omega-6 fatty acid, it's anti-inflammatory, has antioxidants for anti-aging and antimicrobial properties. It supports apoptogenic activity. I don't know what that means really but according to google that promotes homeostasis and lowers stress. So that's always good um and also it helps with acne dermatitis and reduces age spots as well as heals and prevents sunburn.

Then there's hempseed oil which is a rich and balanced source of omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids otherwise known as pufas and vitamin e. Its scientifically proven to treat dermatitis this is due to its antimicrobial conditioning and immune system supporting properties. Hempseed oil along with grapeseed oil are both non-comedogenic - I am so proud of myself for getting that right on the first try - meaning that it won't clog your pores

Next up vitamin e. Also sometimes called the skin, vitamin e has excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and skin healing properties. It is an amazing natural sun protected and it's naturally rich in vitamin c. Like honestly, I have to love the fact that I could say non-comedogenic the first time without any trouble but couldn't say anti-inflammatory. I, I love it. It's great.

Next rosemary essential oil which is known to stimulate circulation which reduces swelling unclogs pores and works as an antimicrobial to fight acne it also tightens in tone skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Finally, we have isopropyl myristate. Again, can't believe I said it right on the first time. But it's a gentle non-toxic emollient. That means it works by breaking the surface tension of oils, so the oil and their nutrients absorb more easily. In practice this helps prevent glide and shine essentially this is what makes oils feel not so oily.

Together they combine for a crazily moisturizing cleansing and anti-aging experience. You can get yours today at getthebutters.com. Not seriously getthebutters.com go get it right now. While I wait for you to do that you can go ahead and watch me use the product that we just made.

I’m going to walk you through how we actually use it - how I’m going to use it at least. It's a pretty simple process. A lot of people like to overthink oil cleansing but honestly you just put the oil in your face. Take a look.

Now I’m using a cotton ball which is not the most ideal way to do it but it's what I have in the house, and I wasn't getting something new for the video because I wasn't going to use it afterwards. We don't do that here at the butters. But it does absorb just fine. You see that it looks good on my hand it looks good on the cotton ball you can actually see how smooth that texture is the oil is very rich that's part of why we love grapeseed oil.

Once you're all set up got it on your cotton ball and all that stuff. You literally just apply it to your skin. The motion that I’m doing is a slight back and forth motion. I’m applying a little bit of pressure. I’m starting in areas that I know for me tend to get a little bit dirtier. I tend to have a lot more stuff come off around my eyes, i also sleep on that side of my face. I had to take a sniff by the way it smells so good. The rosemary in there is you, you might think that it might just smell like food, but rosemary smells so freaking nice just as an herb.

I started with the back-and-forth motion and then I remembered oh wait no you're supposed to be doing slight circles. But you know what I’m not really a skin care guru. I just do kind of how things come to me intuitively. So whatever motion really works for you is good. The circular motion is correct - it will get the most like dirt and sluff off and all that stuff but whatever.

I feel like I should mention getting sprayed in the face by your automatic air freshener is not a part of the instructions but if you want to get like me, I mean you know get like me. Anyways um once you've applied it wiped it all over you can go back over with a clean um with a clean cotton ball. Try and get off any bit of the extra because honestly you don't want to go around being extra oily. It comes off really easily it also absorbs very well so you have to worry about that too much. You can see in my skin I didn't actually have to do that much work. I’m not looking crazy shiny my skin just looks good and dewy
